Mrembo, pretty new beach restaurant in Watamu

Very nice "chiringuito" on the Fortamu bay, with sunbeds, italian and local food

02-11-2017 di redazione

A new, very nice "chiringuito" looks out onto the captivating setting of the Watamu beach meeting points.
In the bay of Fortamu, facing the island of love and just a few meters from a fabulous sea, the Mrembo Beach Restaurant is recently opened with a sunbed service, bar and restaurant that combines Italian cuisine with local specialities.
Mrembo is all built with respect for the environment with local material, painted in white with color counterpoints given by curtains, tablecloths and mattresses of the sunbeds.
There is an obvious care and pursuit of beauty and a particular feminine attention in this new venue on one of Watamu's most enchanting beaches.
The Mrembo Beach Restaurant offers the opportunity to spend a day at the seaside with all the comforts, being able to decide also to have lunch taking advantage of a menu that presents a wide choice of Italian dishes, such as spaghetti with octopus sauce or delicious bruschette, not to mention the classic grilled fish and crustaceans or fried mixed fries with chips.
There is also plenty of space for recipes from the local cuisine, revisited with creativity by the Kenyan chef who has years of experience in tourist activities.
Chicken or coconut fish and avocado salad, tomato and red onion.
All the dishes are treated in every detail, both in preparation and presentation.
Vegetarian delicacies and vegan dishes are also included.
Mrembo is also open at sunset, with the possibility of enjoying an aperitif with tasty snacks at the hour when equatorial Africa offers unforgettable colors and emotions.
A special treat for the customers of the new "chiringuito" is the possibility of organizing a suggestive horseback riding at sunset time along the beach and on the way back enjoy the aperitif.
Every week, the Mrembo offers a different menu at a special fixed price.
Weddings, birthdays and private parties are also organised.
