The reopening of the school in recent days has been particularly celebrated at the Gede Special School.
A little because the school near Watamu is already in itself a particular environment that holds the heart and affection for the soul, a little because the angel guardian of the structure, the italian man Maurizio Beghelli, in these occasions always organizes something unique, as well as bringing the fruits of the donations he receives and presenting new projects that will improve the daily life of the very special students and their teachers.
In view of the last quarter of the year, the school that hosts 135 children with different types of disabilities, dressed up for the feast and Mauritius and his friends animated a day in which some projects were finalized, such as that of lockers with locks to keep glasses and crockery of children. A locker for each class was the "mission" requested and successfully carried by Maurizio.
This was also the case for other small, large works that really mean a lot for the staff and small visitors of the Gede Special School.
Mosquito nets, diapers, fences, plastic covers for mattresses, benches and chairs.
Some of these things are still needed, as well as concrete aid to help local institutions to reward important professionals, such as physiotherapists.
