A little gem of an establishment on Watamu's Crystal Bay shines in a new light.
Tamu Restaurant, a terrace restaurant and pizzeria with an enchanting view of one of the iconic bays of the pearl of the Indian Ocean, is now open, with an elegant organised beach and sunbed service every day from 10 am until 6 pm.
The refurbished restaurant, decorated in soft colours linked to nature, elegance and simplicity with attention to detail and service, benefits from the presence of Viola, who welcomes guests and makes them feel at ease with her well-established experience in hospitality in Watamu.
The menu is extensive, offering sea and land dishes starting with starters such as gorgonzola and cinnamon samosas with fig jam or smoked sailfish carpaccio with red fruits. The first courses include 'penne alla cenere' with gorgonzola and black olives, and there is no shortage of second courses of meat and of course fish such as shrimp tempura or the classic mixed grill. Salads for all tastes and a wide choice of snacks such as tacos, toast and hot dogs always with a touch of creativity and fantasy. As well as the classic pizza baked in a wood-fired oven.
The restaurant can seat a maximum of 40 people, so reservations are always appreciated.
