Visiting the SPK nursery of Timboni

An Onlus of Bergamo helps children even HIV positive

06-03-2017 di redazione

We continue our visit to the solidarity realities in the Watamu area, with a small but significant project made in Timboni.
This is the nursery built by the association "My name is help" of Bergamo.
The S.P. & K. nursery school bears the initials of the names of the top three lenders and today grows and goes to the compulsory education about seventy children.
Four preparatory classes, divided by the booth in one building, while the adjoining houses the dormitory, necessary because most of these children are orphans and many others live far away or in poverty those for which should raise them in a better environment.
Commendable is the intent of the non-profit organization, which was born from a dream of a few people and it became a reality in 2008 laying the foundation for this unique and well cared project.
The nursery has indeed taken him under his wing also many children who are born HIV-positive.
Children who are not to blame, and so they can grow, play and compete with others, but also be constantly monitored medically in the nearby dispensary Mound (the one we mentioned in a previous episode).
The structure is completed by the kitchen and the canteen, which churns out every day plentiful dishes of polenta or rice, with vegetables or meat. The smile, but not just at lunch, here is naturally wearing, before uniform asylum.
It's the joy of knowing that someone guarantees for their future and start making better their present.
