Malaria Prophylaxis is going to die

Vaccine and new medicine from Novartis coming

22-08-2017 di Antonio Altieri

Months counted for antimalarial prophylaxis.
If the historic announcement of the virus vaccine transmitted by the anthropomorphic mosquitoes will light up in a year, there is another good news for Africans and people on the Black continent: the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis, one of the giants of the World medicine, is finalizing the development of a new drug to eradicate malaria once it has arrived.
KAF 156, this is the provisional name of the drug, which has been successfully tested in Mali and is ready to be placed on the market after further testing.
It will take a few more months, too, because the multinational wants to be certain of its total effect.
In fact, according to the manager of the company, KAF 156 should be the first drug to heal malaria patients without the need for "recalls".
One drug and one cure, therefore, because it belongs to a new class of malignant compounds called imidazolopiperazine.
It is designed to be used in conjunction with an improved formulation of existing antimalarial lumefantrine.
In this case, medicine would be far more efficient than artemisin, the element discovered by the Chinese and already widespread in Africa and also in Kenya, but it must be combined with other active ingredients to kill the "plasmodium falciparum" virus.
